Out with Jim yesterday, weather was spot on, and fish from the first drop with some good sized cod and ling, 10 lads fishing and everyone took a canny
bag of fish, was also a couple good sized gurnard caught, and a nice Pollock
which came off as it hit the surface but Jim managed to net it before it realised it was free, thought I had hooked a monster at one point as the rod
was bent double and struggeling to get line on the reel, but when we could finally see what was caught it was a double figure ling and a cod just short of
7lb, all in all a great days fishing, Cheers Jim.

Good day for you Steve. I think that was the kind of day we were all in for a week past Sunday, until that damn wind blew up. :(

However thankfully Jim had put me on a decent Cod and a Ling before that happened, thanks again Jim! Fair made up for the nightmare I had earlier in the week on another trip.............not the skipper's fault that day I haste to add!

Ended up being a good day for most with an excellent start, slow finish.

10 or 11 anglers, plenty of ling caught best of the day was probably mine at around the 8lb mark. Several other keepers 5lb or higher.
Cod a bit harder to come by, I think I saw Dusty bring in a decent 4/5lber at some point. Bloke on the end literally the final seconds fluked the best fish of the day ;) I think Jim weighed it cant remember what he said but it was an easy 7lb, probably about 8 1/2 lbs nice cod.

Thanks to the skipper as always for knowledge and helpfulness netting the fish, sorting out tangles, snags and generally ensuring everyone had a good time. Well worth taking the day off for.

Plenty of fish in my freezer to last months  Nice to see the regulars again, hopefully be back out next month sometime
