Left the dock at 0800 headed out to a few wrecks that produced last weekend only to be disappointed today but their was mackeral on one which i did'nt expect to see tried three wrecks with the same result so we come back towards hartlepool to a piece of ground i like to fish and we managed a few codling nothing massive but all keepers we ended up with about 25 codling so the day was'nt a complete waste and we managed a first for the boat an as Duncan called it a ugly poly something i think it came from north of the border looking at it we could put some pipes on it and Duncan could play it.

aye it was hard work today, quite a few boats out hunting fish, seemed to be 2 or 3 following you.......is that why it's called the North Star ....

who was the well dressed fella with a very shiney reel at the back of the boat?..............

I've had one of them fish out off Amble , I thought it was just a granny fish  I thought they would be quite common:confused:
