g force i pulled up outside the bankhouse club just in front of you i blanked but one lad had a codling just on size i told you they wouldn't weigh the fish as you broke into a gallop on the off chance ' a 7th place finish would have been an excellent result and you deserved something for your efforts on what was a poor day for fishing.Blackcat i agree with you a 4 hour comp should be 4 hours if they give you boundries you should be able to make it back safely without tearing your car round country roads ' we timed ourselves from north seaton roundabout to newton on the morning and it took us 38 mins leaving newton we had 53 mins and it took us 55 mins a 17 min difference in 35 mile. So why can't there be open boundries then there can be no cause for complaint.

Thanks for the commiserations - we also left Newton expecting to arrive with about 10 mins to spare, but took a lot longer getting back due to traffic. At least my mate who was driving (who also had a couple of fish for about 3lb) didn't take some of the ludicrous risks we witnessed one or two others taking - at the end of the day I'd rather be late than upside down in a ditch!

Looking forward to the next one (Seaton Sluice) - smaller boundaries & longer weigh-in! Fingers crossed for some nice seas in the meantime. Also got the Whitley Bay winter League starting next weds - hoping for a good turnout.
