Final comp' of this year's league fished with everything 18cm and over scoring points as per the SAMF chart. 14 Anglers fished marks in the river Wear and sea fronts with 3 blankers. The Rat House fished best for the bigger numbers of fish with plenty decent sized Whiting and Flounder about. The Glass Center fished a bit slower with decent Whiting/Flounder and Coalies showing.

Well done to Mick Todd who had already won the league before the comp' starting having taken a commanding lead in the last 7 matches (best 6 scores out of 8 matches) but he continued with his good form and managed the biggest bag with Ray Archbold taking the biggest fish on points (Flounder).

I knew it was going to be a bad day when I got to my mark on the sea front, pulled my rod out of the car and discovered the bottom half of my WR300 and the top half of my Carbon Metal BB. My engineering background helped.....I put tape on the spigot and taped them together lol. Felt like I was using a fly rod. Again I used some good bait and looked for a nice cod. Good sea on. Not one cod to show for it. Think nxt time I'm trying the river like the rest of them..

Dont include me in that ratty I was plugging away fo a lunker also....apparently they are passing out coarse angling registration cards at the agm :-)

Your right Jimmy its all about the taking part. I had my chance to come down and fish again but was knackered after early days.
Well done to everyone.
Tight lines Mick.

Ratty/Cod Commando, I have some beer for you both. Giz a shout when you are passing or I'll bring to the next one.

Ratty, Specsavers are buy 1 get 1 free at the minute.....lol......Congrats on winning the Guest League.

Aye Stevie. Floats n maggots for next Comp

Don't forget to bring your quivertip to slot into the end of your pole again. I'll bring plenty of tape to save you again :D.

Whitey first chuck after I moved but all too late. There's always next year.

Have a good one lads and battle begins in January again

Now i still owed my Mam 49 pound and Dad 49 soo 49+49=98 plus the 1 pound with me 99 Pound WHERE IS THE MISSING POUND?:confused::confused::confused:

Well done MT2- your beginners luck is still continuing after 15 years!! Despite several rule changes (some during the matches!!) you still take some beating.

Well done to Ray Arch on the runner up place.
