Well it'll not be long now lads, time to oil the reels and dust off the rods and pray to the northerly's and easterly's god
And wouldn't you know it, I've just had a quick look on magicseaweed and there are westerly's for the next few weeks.

Fished seaham last night one of me pals got a just in size codlin and a good size flounder
both on crab macky and rag but i blanked for once but the other week when we had a little swell seen a 4 and a half pound codling come off just below the drum

think its gonna be the usual marks which will hoy up the fish early in the season once the sea gets away.

need some n/westerleys on to put a bit movement on not too strong or it gets to big.

sep /oct can be as bad as april/may if you dont get the weather right.

and a lot depends when the feed moves off what fish it takes with it.

Well i hope its a good season for the shore lads as the boat fishing has been utter crap this year, them cod have to come in sooner are latter.
