Okuma trio 55 braid or mono

Wanting to put new stuff on my reel but not sure what's best braid or mono
Heard 12lb braid or if I put mono on what lb line should I use
Ps if braid is the best has anyone got any for sale cheers boys

Try 15-20lb braid matey whiplash seems to cast well enough 20lb Fluro leader to finish off the set up

I have the ultima power braid on mine mick..The chinese spectra braid will do the job...only thing it takes a few weeks to arrive

Cant go far wrong with the ultima, Mine was around £20 a spool..where we going the weekend like? Haha

I've got the ultima power pro on mine a had on Sunday as well mick. It sounds steep but if you use a leader slightly under the BS of the braid it should last years.

And where you fishing Sunday? I might join ya.

use a good quality 30lb braid [not the thick spectra stuff] and you wont need a leader for spinning.

you will need plenty of mono backing on with that spool though. if your going to cast more than a couple of ounces then use add a leader.
