i cant see any shop closing down for that reason, the shops make very little if any profit on bait

you just have to look at prices on line for tackle most tackle small tackle shops just cant complete with them prices.
there is very little profit in live bait sales for any shop to survive.
yes there is lads that sell bait but it takes time and effort and some do supply tackle shops with rag lug and crab and have done so for years.
small tackle shops have problems with high over heads and with cash flow
even big shops look at moon fleet excellent shop now gone

There seems to be only two shops in my area now in blyth and ashington.we still need high Street shops everytime i get bait al probably buy bait elastic hooks or flyline flies ect one day there might be no local shops will the club's sell there open tickets on line there or will they die off to. .jam
