With the fishing being crazy good at the weekend it was worth booking in a half day and going out to sea, I met up with Graham at 2pm and headed straight out to the marks that held so many cod the weekend before.
We dropped down and soon hit into fish but just coalie, 2 at a time...only 1 small codling came in on a pirk, I moved around a few marks and we started to pick the odd fish up but it was hard going.
The weather did not know what to do today, when we first went out it was t-shirt weather.

Then the light rain came and we had a rainbow.

We kept fishing away taken loads of pouting, never seen so many as this year and the odd coalie but little in the way of target fish, still it was light wind, canny sea and you dont often see so many rainbows out at sea.

Anyway as with alot of days fishing we had a mad hour and managed a handfull of cod and ling of a good stamp between 6-7lb before we called it a day.

So we called it a day at 7.30pm and headed in, total was well down on the previous days fishing but still a ok haul of about 16 fish
