Ok guys, if u could only have one rod n reel for all of your fishing (beaches, piers, estuary and rocks) what would it be???

a fladen express master blaster and a leeda power pro for the reel....cant beat that set up really like.

beats any zziplex...century..greys or conoflex....total expensive waste of cash.

Yeah i second that mate, maybes not the fladen express master blaster but the fladen express supersurf 500 plastic stick series just cause i prefer the cork handle for extra distance. Its awsome!

oh is that ur new 1 ya were on about...looks the bizz like..how much did that set u bk?

kompresser ss and saltist 30 h. pure beast set up nothing cud stand in there way off the rocks.

If its cod fishing in the terrain mention and
with rocks in the equation I would go with the above.

Or if cost is an issue Rt axellerator and slosh 30 would be a cheaper alternative.

Aye mate, £25 for the fully kit reel included and everything, well apart from the line so had to buy seaforce super elastic, ment to be good like strong as an ox the shop told me.

How long you had your fladen express 5 piece?

You 2 have convinced me to sell my zippys and centurys, I'm on my way to the pound shop for this marvelous full setup:D

I got 2 rods, ron thompson oceanica 13 ft (£30) with grey mag 7 and Sonic SK3with slosh 30

I prefer the RT setup, the rod is bomb proof and bite detection is better.

The sonic has lost 2 rings inners and white paint is peeling off the end. Wish i bought the RT axcellerator. Got it at XMAS, waste of money.

So totally happy with my £75 quid setup verses me £210 setup deffo not £145 performance differance and after all its not the rod and reel what catches the fish, its the bait n bloke on the end.

Another Rant - Back in the olden days I would suggest that even my RT or a Fladen as previously mentioned would be far better than rods produced 30 years back before all you snobs with ya Conos, zippies etc think that the more you spend on gear the more fish you catch.

I bet you would catch just as many fish with me £75 setup as you would your £500 quid setups or does bait, presentation and conditions not come into play when you flash the cash like.

Get over yoursell with ya my rod is better than your rod sh**e cos it cost £200 more - so f**k or al send me da round cos he's harder than your :D

i think this thread was - "what is your preferred single rod setup" not - being a snob and competing ? wtf.......
