They do worms and maggots but not the best value.
Billys tackle at north shields big tub of Dendrobaena Worms for £4.
Tactics up there are worm and Power egg cocktails.

Decent catch for Fontburn recently. They've started stocking bigger fish - but less numbers.
Naworth is a good shout.
If you fancy a shot at fluffchucking - chatton is a good place, as is Caistron lakes - Bait or fly lakes.
There is also Derwent and kielder.
Kielder is also available to fish the burns and rivers - but not until March now - cheap as well at £7.50 for the day.

if ya fancy a go at fluff chucking you got sharpley springs just down seaham way, you got knitsley (crap tho) at consett, even just to learn you got little foxs pond just over the roundabout from springwell village to birtley.
fluff chucking is much better than bait fishing for trout, much better fight too
