Is he going to last a full season at the Toon?

I personally think he is - he left Liverpool - then they won the Champions League, He left Real Madrid and then they go on to win La Liga...with all the money and investment going into Newcastle at the moment he'd be daft to go now.

He's not Arsenals type of player, Benitez would be loathe to take him back, he'd be one of many at Chelsea and Man U like to invest in youth.

He's going to be first team choice week in week out at Newcastle and the sqad that Allardyce is building up is going to compete with the "Top 4"

Like I said on the Chopra thread, I'm surprised other clubs haven't tried to sign him, 9 million is nothing these days for a proven striker, maybe it's the wages. Maybe they have tried but he's happy where he is and is actually showing some loyalty.

didntmean it to read like it has keith - been a long day - he can go for me ,he hasnt shown any loyalty to the club that pays him £110k a WEEK - even throughout his rehab ,all he kept saying was he hoped to be fit for whichever England game he was actually talking about

could be wrong, but the impression I got from the papers is that the clause is related to appearances and length of time since he signed, and that a game in august would cause it to expire

Apparently he has recently failed a medical at Man U, which NUFC have tried unsuccessfully to keep quiet.

It must be true, cos I read it on the SMB, the fount of all knowledge !

if its true that he has failed his medical ,that is a real shame ,he can go for nowt for me (and the many Newcastle fans i drink with) - he didnt want to come 2 yrs ago , but HAD to as no-one else came in for him - he hasnt had any feelings towards the club or the fans - so the quicker he goes the better



OR - comes clean and speaks up and lets us all know that he really wants to go places with Nufc - then his slate is wiped clean ,as it should be


After all ,its not as if we cant go out and replace him with a huge wedge of cash ,Cos this time WE CAN ,and i think he knows that also !!!!!!!!!!
