Me and the daughter gave this a go last night. High water was not until 0200 so we were set up and fishing not mush after half 11. Having gone done the previous day at low water we had counted the fence posts from the steps so we knew where to cast to get right in the gully. Had a few small knocks and daughter reeled in a small fish but I don't know what it was and didn't take a photo :red:

Anyway, not much else doing there so we moved further along the prom and cast into the bay itself. First cast and I reeled in a flattie. Not very big though and it was returned to fight another day. Daughter had a few knocks but no fish, then I got another bite and this time pulled in a small coalie (I think) which was also returned. Nothing much after that and as we were both feeling tired, we packed up at 0230 and went home. Good night though and definitely a mark to try again. Bait used was a mixture of rag, lug and mussel.

Here's photos of the fish I reeled in. Just taken on my phone so quality not too good.

Well done mate, and a nice report, once you know where it is, the oxfaulds always worth a shot in the winter for the odd decent cod over high water, not a hotspot, but it always is a mark that can instill a bit of hope, and its easy fishing too.
