Well set out at 7.30am headed out to st marys can etc then tried about 10 recks to 5 mile and nothing but scotchies and a codling about 1.5lb so went back fishing with rag mussel daylights and jelly worms ended up at my usual haunt off the beacons at Newbiggin where at 3pm was still fishless then put a pirk on and hit the right drift spot on ended up with 7 codling to 3 to 4lb Dad with 2 codling and a returned ling of 5lb loads of bites and misses so all ended happy but bloody hard work and alot of ground covered today.

spot on Ivan mate, well done on catch ...... it`s certainly been a hard weekend. I was close to toying with newbiggin this weekend but when wind dropped off on Saturday we decided to go out to the wrecks ..... but it seems , still some good fish inshore ......... cheers mate great report

Well done Ivan , I gave up today , settled for a couple of hours fun with the mackerel , I had a good day yesterday so wasn't pushing too hard lol. Nice to see you catching mate
