Pansy Update

Just back from The Outer Hebrides (Grimsay & North Uist - another story all together) and went to check on the old Panzer. That stuff in the bags that mark mentioned earlier - "is it lead, kryptonite, filicone myoxide?" Turns out whatever it is has a very high ferrous content. I thought the deck wash pump and hose had seen it all off, oh no how very wrong! The powder residue has very kindly turned into solid rusty iron on every surface it has touched, there's a few areas where it's concentrated like round some of the fairleads on the gunnels () and turned into solid iron, decks covered in it even the cool box in the wheelhouse has a nice rusty iron finish now. The beautifully restored "Favourite" moored next to us took some on board for ballast and they're still chipping it of with an air hammer. Oh well onwards and upwards :(

oh dear ........... it must`ve been shot blast :( ................

quick run for cover they might not remember who gave it to them :)

welcome back ell , are there stories from your hols .... ? :)

Oops didn't realise I'd posted in catch reports - aye the Holiday tales will be posted soon as Norman. The one about me skippering the Uigg to Loch Maddy ferry is worth a read (when it's written of course)
