Peebles / River Tweed catch report

Had a couple of days in Peebles before christmas staying at the Castle Venlaw Hotel. Took me gear up and booked a days fishing at a small stocked water nearby, also intended to used the occasion to recce the river for a proper go at the salmon later on.

Catch report - Squirted tomato juice all over me posh shirt and the table cloth in the hotel restaurant within seconds of sitting down. Drank lots of whiskey, stayed in me scratcher for 2 days watching telly and lushing it up with only one small venture out to buy more tabs. Had 3 baths in 48 hours (it was massive) Didn't even get a bite

Well at least you got out , there's more to fishing than catching fish , better to be out and about in the fresh air than sat inside , it's taking part that counts............... none of em fit do they? at least you enjoyed yourself , and you were near a place to fish , and you did take your gear
