Peel-a-crab sticks

Last time I contacted the company that makes these, it was to point out that nothing that swims seemed remotely interested in eating them.
In reply, I was sent a bottle of crab oil to soak the turds in.
Still nothing scaley on the end of my line !
I contacted them again just after Xmas. I had just finished two sessions using nothing but their sticks, and blanked while others nearby were catching on natural bait.
The reply I got was from a surprised gentleman who told me that many good bags of fish have been taken in the north east using this bait, and that very soon a lugworm scented turd is to be unleashed on the sea angling fraternity.
Is it just me, am I unlucky, or can ANYONE confirm that THEY have caught a decent fish on this strange bait ?
I await with bated breath...........
:(

My mate was going to soak them in crab oil also to see if that improved them. He was not impressed with them either. I have only used them once so can\'t really say. Will see him tomorrow to find out if he ever caught with them.

Jim.

I had a session at Runswick bay a couple of weeks ago, the first 2 hours I used the crappy turds without a friggin sniff, switched to mussel and crab with instant success.
May of just been the right state of the tide but I doubt it.

Worst thing is I still have three packs in me fishing bag (anyone want any peeler crab sticks?)

I\'ve always said i\'ll try anything once and thats what i did with these daft things.ok use them if there is NO bait available at all but that is never the case.they aint natural just a load of chemicals tryng to fool the fish but they DONT work.would you eat something you have never seen before in your life?the only people raving about these are tackle shop owners coz theyre stuck with them!

Got a bag in my box. Not tried it yet. Will give it a go. Never tried WD40 either but maybe I\'ll try spraying it and see what happens! Always ready to try eating things I haven\'t eaten before!

Crap.I fished naturals on their own, caught.Tipped off with the sticks on their own,did\'nt.Fished sticks on their own blanked, used naturals again caught. All in the same session.
My m8 used naturals all the time, got a fish a cast.
Proves a point to me.

the person who does eventually come up with a \"synthetic man made\" bait that really does catch well will become an instant millionaire. i have no doubt it is possible just never been done yet, you\'ve only got to look to the course fishing world to see how things such as boilies have accounted for many many specimens, vanilla flavour, strawberry flavour etc etc but the fish take them readily.

still got a full bag of them in the freezer ive tried tipping off ,on there own and mixed in ,there supposed to hold the hook but everyone ive used has vanished, wont be buying any more

designed to catch fisherman not fish !!! used loads of (gimmicks) over the last month... turd ,rag and lug potion ,mussel in membrane ,peeler in membrane and peeler fish strips all of which seemed to put fish off as friends fishing either side of me were all pulling fish in using nutural baits!!!the peeler fish strips stood out though as Ive caught quite a bit using these by cutting slices off them and tipping off have had good results especially when theres bass around!!!
