Got away early from work yersterday so did a couple of mates and we decided to give it a try for a couple of hours. We thought we would stay close in so tried a couple of wrecks close to the tyne the water was quite dirty so we headed out about 4 miles to a wreck, good choice we were straight in to fish 2 and 3 at a time for everyone we got about 20 cod 1 ling and a couple of pollock and mackrel the ling was just over 10lb the first double for the new boat and me then i pulled in a 10 1/2lb cod aswell not long after, it was the best day we've had this year only kept 8 fish put the rest back for next time.

Nice to get out, all eyes on the weather this weekend, been changed every 6hr update since Monday morning.

Here hoping we can get out and get a few double cod like that :)

Nice one , short sessions are great when they come good like that , except when you start catching , you wish they were a long one :D

Well done lads, that’s a good catch and a cracking pair of fish. You’re obviously finding your way around, and over, the wrecks well.
