To be honest mate a standard 535gs with one brake block in is just as good.

There as good as the 535 mag at casting in my opinion as there no diffrent in reel specs apart from one having a single earth mag fitted.As said one brake block tames it right down anyway.

That's all its for lads the rock marks I have the mag and wanting another didn't realise there wasn't much in them

Spot on mate,fit the correct size brake block and forget about it.

Great reel and simple.

been saying that for ages now the penn 535 mag does have it uses but not for short lobbing.

i still would use the old 9000 or the 10000 or the 12
