Think many people are having the same problem including me. Have you tried contacting penn :D. Hope you get the problem resolved and tell me what was causing the problem so i can fix mine lol.

clean all greased parts with lighter fluid and and the re lubricate with white ragworm oil but if u want distance then u need peeler oil on ur bearings so the line may peel easier of the spool ...

dunno how to reply to this one trev marra.

even when theres nowt about, flat as a fart and crap, theres always the chance of a lunker turning up. .........................

three occassions spring to mind for me.
1. cullernose point flat as a fart nov 2005, 3 fish out all between 4 and 7lb
2. easington, flat clear water, big bass lost at my feet in 2007 in a big open
3. steetly pier, march 2006, flat clear water, had 12 whiteys off the front, then another whitey i thought until i felt the weight of it...... NO, a 14 pound cod!!

one thing I do know is that you will only get out what you put in.
