I was under impression that the 525 super mag was the same as the old 525 Mag. I was also under the impression that the recently laucnhed range of beachcasters whose name escapes me, surfblaster or something are also the same as old the Extreme V range with a different name. I may be wrong however.

Never tried the mags but my 525gs and 535gs are top notch.

Supermag has 6 magnets in it, compared with 4 (I think) in the ordinary mag

You are right Davey about the supermag

The 525 mag (slidey) in one word is...Excellent

I use one and think they are the bogs dollocks

the new super mag has diferent bearings 2 extra magnets a gold handel wants to b real gold 4 the price but there is some aroond with chrome handel and just says 525 mag but the only real diference is the bearings but @45 pund more is it worth it ime sure new ceramic 1s are a lot cheaper
