Just wondering if any lads on here have had much success fishing roker pier.Fished it few times various tides sea states, marks, never done much,or seen much caught.Yet shields pier i think is a cracking venue,VERY rarely have i blanked here, had some outstanding sessions on here, best cod of here 7.5lb,seen much bigger. When i mention a sesh at roker even me 15yr old son turns his nose up,we just been unlucky or what???

Had fish up to 11.5lb from it including 4 over 9lb, bags of up to 16 codling, lost 3 double figures on there and also had a bass just under 4lb, not to mention some fantastic whiting fishing.

If you put the hours in, you'll score.

The best pier in the north east though, is opposite;)

Like everywhere, it depends on the conditions/tides etc.

I've had most of my fish off the end, but you'll understand if I don't advertise exactly where and when.

The problem is, that the best conditions are when the pier is shut.

Not too many secrets about Roker. Off the end any direction will fish. Barrier half way up.

Fishes best Oct/Nov/Dec and when the springers arrive.

Hi Davey, I have had some great times on Roker pier over the years with some decent bags of fish. Although I have had a few good times on Shields I have'nt done as well but then again I have'nt put the time in the way I did with Roker. As Davyred says, the pier is shut now with the best coditions.

Jim.
