Got down to SSP around 9pm last night and started at the 43.
Using a two hook flapper, size 2 hooks and Ragworm.
Nothing for a couple of casts then first catch was a double shot of tommies
Had a few more double shots like these, then got a bigger one
Next cast, I was into something a lot heavier, I was thinking a 4lber, but turned out to be a double of a decent Pollock about 2.5lb and another Codling on the other hook
Next cast was another double, a Flounder and a Whiting
It was dark by then, so moved up to the end and started using mackerel and sandeel, trying for a Dogfish. Had three casts up there, all three had good knocks, but all three got snagged and lost
so moved back down to the 44.
I was the only one left on the pier by then. Had a few Dabs and loads more of the pin Whiting, so packed up at 2am.
