do you need to be a member to use the piers at seaham. i am from the whitby area and have just taken up sea angling again after a short spell away. could you help me please as there is 3 of us wishing to travel up there and we don't want to be disapointed.
1 of us is disabled with m.n.d so your help woiuld be greatly apprieciated
 
you need to be a member to acces the upper part of seaham noth peir as its gated off but the bottom ''spiles'' is open to the public
to become a member the fee is £25.50 for the first year (includes the key to gate) and £19
each year after
there is also a disablity pass via a list so you can take your car onto the bottom of the peir hope this is of some help

The club has comps throughout the year starting from january, comps are held about 2 to 3 weeks apart.

New senior fees are, £10 club membership, £6 dock company fees, £3 insurance and £6.50 key.

Junior fees are, £5 club membership, £6 dock company fees and £3 insurance.

Seniors entering 7 comps during the year can enter the xmas comp.
Juniors entering 5 comps during the year can enter the junior xmas comp.

Any member fishing 15 senior comps during the year gets free club membership the next year therefore only paying dock company fees and insurance fees.
This means that as a new member you will be paying less than 50p a week to fish on the pier. next year we will have access to the south pier.
