Yes, pike will take lures any time of the year. I've caught pike with lures down to -6'c. If you catch them right they can be very aggressive this time of year. If you don't they will not be interested as they have other things on their minds.....spawning
Mate it's spring (almost) I would play around as lures are always time of year and more importantly venue specific.
For instance if I'm fishing for big pike on trout waters or other large venues holding big pike, I will use big soft plastic lures, fast sinking or diving in colder months. Shallow running cranks, jerk baits this time of year onwards.
Take a bag of frozen smelt mate , fish them on a two hook treble wire trace , just like lure fishing but wobble them back , mount them head pointing to the rod and no weight , cast and let them sink naturally then retrieve slowly , jacks will hit them like a train and tail walk , good luck mate
