Depends on where you are planning to fish i would say....and at what time, and at what state the tide is going to be in - also the weather is a contributing factor...

try a few rock marks ,the sea is away and cud kick up the odd decent cod

i live in horden, county durham, and was thing of going fishing at around 9am till 4pm cos low water is 0.6m at 11:08.

however i have no idea where to go cos my cousin says there was decent cod on the beach last week. (when i was too busy to go)

Where's accessible to you? You say you live in Durham, so i spose it's a case of where you can get to.....

If you look at the Fishing Marks on the left that will give an idea of what's local...the Estuaries are fishing well by the looks of things with flatties being caught

i live 7 miles north of hartlepool and roughly 7 miles south of seaham and pretty close to easington. thus where i live is horden but dont know where all the good fishing marks are around here yet cos i am still learning.

Not too sure on marks down that way but i would have thought any of the beaches around horden, easington etc will chuck a couple of fish out the way the sea has been this past couple of days, should put some colour in the water. I know they were still getting some thornies last week or so aswell. Good luck!
