Ok keeping a few for the table, but surely you didn't need to kill and keep them all, it's pics like these that will give fisheries evidence to try and implement a licence.

You've got a point however I'm pretty sure he did actually eat them all, if he didn't then shame on him but they are good for fish cakes ect. Yeah you would normally take just a few for the table but if you plan on eating them all then why not make the most of a good session?
If you seen the post with loads of flounders pointlessly killed for a photo then I'd agree with you, that was disgraceful, this isn't so bad.

I agree mate. We spend a fortune on tackle, baits and spend hours out in all weathers freezing our nads off, and poor sessions or blanking. As long as they go in the pan and are not wasted. These type of sessions are few and far between so its up to each person what they keep and what goes back. Personally i would not keep that many but thats just me and not a dig. I saw the post with the flounders just before it was removed and was horrified. I doubt any ended up in the pan, more likely left to stink up the place or chucked back dead.

How isn't this so bad it is exact ally the same scenario what doesn't make it so bad be ause it's someone who u know u lot are a bunch ov hypocrites!!!!

correct me if im wrong but the post last year with the same picture by the same person caused exactly the same debate if these fish where all used and no waste then fair play if not then shame on you but....each to there own personally i never take no more than 12 whities home with me at anyone time but only if they are of decent size just for fishcakes yes I can understand why people get on there high horse and air their views...and I can understand tryin to put food on the table for example..I went through a phase of taking many of whities if I didn't at the time I would never of eaten simple....but now im in a much better position and don't have to worry about things like that anymore
cheers

He clearly stated that he ate them all. Most of the time whities die before unhooking them anyways. This won't even make a dent in the fish stocks, it's the trawler boats which do, even then the fish which come off of the trawlers are being eaten. But as I say, he ate them all so fair play.

This photo last year caused a heated debate, so my first question is... Why repost it? If you know how bad the debate got last year?

At the end of the day every person will look at that and have a completely different opinion, Some people believe because they spend the money to go fishing they can take what ever they want and its justified because its 'paid for'.

Others think that taking a few for the pot is okay, but taking everything is overkill.

Others get a kick out of releasing fish. Like me for example.

But at the end of the day whether these fish were eaten or not is irrelevant, if it was any other fish say for example bass? There would be Uprawr which is a valid point in my opinion.

This photo shows the first persona i mentioned, and anyone who doesn't have the same mindset will disagree with it. Theres many ways in which i don't agree with it. But thats not my place to say so. Everyone just understand that everyone is going to look at that image differently so arguing about it is pointless, as it wont change the fact that this happened...

Don't see a problem all obviously good whitings and if used and not wasted great. Its amazing how many anglers now frown on taking good bags of fish. Just had a great session on roker this morning and kept around 30 good quality whitings, they really do make good eating, much nicer than cod in my opinion.
Going to have some for my tea, fillet, soak in milk for 5 mins, dredge through a 50/50 mix of cornflour and pancake mix, fry !
