plenty of macky from the heugh 21/05

fished the heugh this morning came on just as the tide was on the ebb about 6.15 am only two lads on fishing and when i got to the end they where already pulling mackey in almost every cast,one lad was using a string of feathers but no feathers just bare hooks and a little bit of red tubing and he was landing them 3 at a time, i managed 14 in the end and then it just went dead, all in all not a bad first macky sesh of the season but it was bloody windy out there.

my son was down earlier came back with bag full macky said that lad next to him had 48 and counting wen he left they sure are in now in great numbers.

If your fishing blyth pier could put a report up. Been tempted to go down for a bit of macky bashing as not fished in years. I`ll be the one with a spinner wrapped his neck if i get down there...
