Poor fishing today

Left the launch ramp at South Shields at 8:30 on the Sea Princess, tried wrecks up to 5 mile off Blyth.
No cod but plenty of mackerel.
Tried shads, pirks and baited hokkais/day lights but to no avail

Poor at Whitby yesterday as well, 4 cod 4 ling plenty of whiting and mackerel.
