fished port carlisle on saturday, fished a different mark this time near the island. with the smallish tide fishing time was a little limited but got 3 hours in over top water. got 15 flounders on the flood and another 10 on the first of the ebb. nothing huge best was 38cm all fish taken on fresh crab tipped with macky. weather wasn't too bad a little windy at times but dry. highlight of the day was a thumping bite that catapulted my rod out the stand, can only think it was maybe a bass, certainly not a flounder.

claxheugh sunday - fished 3 hours upto high water ended up with 9 plump flounders again taken on fresh crab tipped with macky, by the end of the session it was blowing a hoolie.

claxheugh monday - fished 3 hours up again fish from the off including 2 double shots, same baits used same windy conditions ended up with 14 flounders some nice ones amongst them.

i'll post some pics of the 3 sessions when i get time.
its interesting that both in the wear and over port carlisle this year for some reason you need to be tipping off with macky for success, normally this time of year at both venues crab on its own outfishes everything. theres plenty crab peeling so why this is is a mystery too me !
