We set off Saturday morning at 6am destination port dinorwic for what would hopefully be a wrecking trip on Morgan James III with Andy Owen but it had given the weather to change mid morning so the trip turned into an inshore general fishing sortie.First drop couldn't have been on the seabed 10 seconds & I had my first doggie then a ray I think the sea bed must have been carpeted with rays they were coming up allover the boat all between 6lb & 10lb didn't matter what went down half mackerel mackerel flapper whole squid you name it it would come back with a doggie chewing on it if the rays didn't get to it first.Tope just didn't show up so we had a move & tried again same results rays & dogs one or two lads tried scratching rigs & managed loads of dab & pin whiting Andy was just saying how strange it was that the huss hadn't showed either when I got my rod pulled over hard wound & wound in the first huss of the day 11lb 15oz another came up at the back of the boat 10lb but no more we had the company of a few dolphins for a while too at one point not a bad day all in all with dozens of rays & dogs but little else showing I was a happy chappie as my huss took the fiver a man for the biggest fish of the day netting me £35
