Headed out for my last session of the year and first for a couple of weeks this afternoon. Looked on the Roker webcam and saw the sea was flat as a witches so headed for the pier with the intention to fish the Barrier. Got the the front to find the sea was even flatter than it looked on the cam but once again the gates were locked so it was time for a plan B

Not fancying a beach mark I headed for Hendon, it was pretty busy down there with lots of lads sheltering from the wind. Got parked up in a spot about half way along and had a bait in the water about 75 minutes before hight tide.

Plenty of bites from the off but nothing hanging on, my guess is Coalies; the bloke next to me pulled in a nice one plus a couple of smaller ones but I wasn't connecting. Just after HT I pulled in a Dab barely bigger than my palm to beat the blank; stuck it out until 6:30 then decided to call it a day.

Pretty poor all things considered but then the sea was like a sheet of glass. At least the postage stamp Dab meant I didn't end the year on a blank and I'll be out again Tuesday for my New Year bash. And if you are on here many thanks to the lad next to me fot the left over worm; used up the Rag this afternoon and hopefully the lug will make it through to Tuesday.
