posted on 11/1/2004 at 02:15Just got back in had an hour on Blyth pier (had some bait for me mate), then dropped onto the beach. Not a bite on the pier first chuck on the beach got a decent whiting then a better one on me next chuck, was the same all night but only got one codling just on size. All fish were returned. Used rag, lug, frozen crab,mussel and razor. One young lad got a two and a half pound codling on rag, then had to pack in cos they had no bait left. Don"t you hate it when that happens. Best of luck to anyone fishing the open today. Jim.
