hi lads have any of you had to post a fishing rod off av just sold mine on ebay just wondering if any1 knows a good cheap delivery service not bothered how long it takes to get there as long as it does many thanks davey

To long for royal mail go on parcel monkey on google put in dimensions and they will give you different options and prices

Parcel monkey is also a no no as fishing rods are a prohibited item they will take them but your not covered in the event of breakage.not good if your sending a £400 zippy and it gets broken

I've not had to post a rod before, but one name that I've seen crop up a lot being well recommended is Interparcel. I've used many couriers over the years though with my work, sending sometimes large & fragile items, and all I can say is, pack the rod as though you expect it to be tossed around by hyper-active gorillas on steroids otherwise it may arrive in more pieces than it was sent;)

Gary :)

I use Interparcel for rods quite regular but even they have some restrictions as they won't take certain rod lengths to the Highlands and Islands.that is why I asked what rod and its destination.

i have used interparcel a few times for rods, last one i sent was a WR300, think it cost £13 to send to yorkshire from gateshead
