I'm in the market for a new rod over the summer to take to norway this coming winter was wanting to know off people who have been what rod is best to use I don't want an over kill rod I want a good sport rod no floppy sticks either I have a c curve but want to take a second rod I'm open to advice thanks

Your regular rods will be fine.

Phill was supplying century c3s for his guests and they handled all the fish well.

Nicky off here had fish to over 40lb on a tip tornado sport supplied by Phill.

I took a tip sport and a ttr last time i was there and managed fine with the sport.

Phils rods are century carbon metals but if your taking your own just use what ever you like using as Bill said I had the massive Cod on a tt sport no problems but I preferred to use my ttr and tt over there as they give me that little bit more confidence in casting a big bait and 6 or 7oz lead.

Thanks for the replys lads and yes I am going with Phil dale I was gonna buy a new tt but couldn't justify the money if I didn't neccesarily need one I want to take my own rods over I've booked for them to go

Your C curve and wr300 will be fine mate. My prefered rods over there are M427and zeteque although i have used alot lighter. I believe Phil has started using a Primo hiflex for general bait fishing
