it's not going to be until the summer at least but I'm possibly in the market to Charter a boat out of the Tyne for 12 anglers (mostly novices) who will (mostly) require all gear providing...

Anyone any ideas who could provide such a service?

so you need a charter boat with all the gear for 12 novice anglers, and probably a large first aid kit with plenty of elastoplasts and a seasickness nurse onboard

thinking knitting might be a bit unfair, crochet perhaps, bit more random and harder to undo

if you look on the left there's a charter boats link, Tony Avis might be your best bet, he has all the gear for hire at least

Wallsendo if you want to do it,dont go wrecking do something simple first.Try a bit of mixed ground or sand bank bashing,anchored up.After all you are paying for the charter.AND you wont be forever untangling your mates spaghetti.
I did it once and the only thing I asked was that everyone had the same size weights cos imho thats a major cause of tangles with some with heavy and some with light.:question::question:

Nothing worse than a novice wreck angler, i mean everyone is at some point but its so painfull standing on a boat when the tide is pulling, made worse by someone dropping late, not flicking in the right direction ...list goes on.

I always remember my 1st wreck trip 9 years old, cut finger, lots of lost gear, 50lb broom shank, standing on the back of the old JFk holding up 2 ling of around 8-9lb happy as hell having no idea how i had just caught them.

Our days it's 12lb class boat rod with 30lb fireline braid, with mre tackle than a fishing super market has ad i still only end up with 2 ling lol.

Got a feeling this will be a good boating year, waiting for a few tell tail signs then its is back to the record books to map out tactics, spots and tackle :0)

Fav time of the year is when the cod and ling hit the wrecks, cod on light twin tails and pirks, ling on half mackerel.

Never done a thing on it since November, its just sitting in a holding yard in Birtley costing me £37 a month.

Last thing i did was re-wire the lights in the cabin and remove the 3 large seats at the back and fit a smaller sear that folds away when your fishing. Not even ticked the engine over sinceend of November, the last winds had the boat rocking on the stand so i was told lol, good job it never fell off, it might have damaged the rust
