is it worth fishing this time of year.caught coalys-codling in winter but fancy trying high tide this week,maybe flatties there?

I doubt it Peter - I was down there monday when I went out on the pipe and have never seen that end of the beach so scoured out, not a scrap of sand anywhere. All in front of the proms is nothing but rock - last winter I remember fishing off the clock and twitching my gear back across the sand - fish there now and you'd need your rough ground gear & rotten bottoms!
