surely even we can't screw it up now! just 1 point tonight to get back in the prem.

Howay the lads!

so much for the predictions from our red and white brethren we'd be doing a leeds and be down in league 1 next year :p

Mark, that was most of my black and white mates prediction too. They don't really know what to say about the large controller now though after he got shot of all the dead wood and signed up a manager that almost no one wanted and has them playing like a team again.

No need to mention the red and whites, most of the black and whites had a load more to say about the doom and gloom that was expected lol.

Jim.

Might even be over before all that if Notts Forest dont get a win against Cardiff in 5.00pm match (oh and of course they have to win one of their last five games by 27 goals to beat us on goal difference, and we have to loss every one of our last six games - with goals against deducted from the NF 27 target :) :) )

Only one thing on players minds now and thats the championship winners cup.

snakes and ladders? who's got the most experience of that game I wonder :D:D

at least there will be a good derby up here next year a bit of fun and banter without the trouble.

how many new players do you reckon you will need for the premiership and how much money do you think there will be to spend.

and any views on stephen taylors future at newcastle.

I simply don't get it!
If it wasn't for the large flock of black&white sheep that can't seem to see the wood for the tree's that go on supporting a club that hasn't given anything back in return for that blindfolded belief that their flock show to me is uncomprehensible. Now I think I know what most will be thinking?
Well I used to be part of the black&white flock, going to most home and some away games back in the sixties & seventies but after the disastrous FA cup final against Liverpool in 74 if memory serves me right that was the end for me. After being banned playing home cup tie games at home, the club and its flock were forced to play these game away but still got through to the final. I wish we had been beaten at home by Notts Forest that day and it would of saved a lot of travelling and heart ache and less said about the final the better. Since then I've been very cynical about NUFC the big suits behind the strip, the big league's and teams. I made a mad return to St James Park on the 1st home game and the opening of the Milburn & Leazes End new and impressive stands. I can't say what I saw on the pitch was of the same. I will not be returning unless in the highly unlikely event they get back into the UEFA champions league I may go back to work for those who run it as I did the last time. Mind you not for the football, but work is work and you have to take it no matter where it comes from. Maybe if some of the die hards of the flock knew what went on at these game they to just might not.

Come on the Toon. Been with them for a long time now. Was there when we won the "Fairs Cup",was also there twice in the 70's cup finals at the old Wemley to see them well beaten!!!

Chin up as they say and just hope they can survive their first season back at the top level !!!

At least 10 new players required and the figure being quoted for spending is £15million.
Steven taylors future isnt at Sid James Park. They have elected to stick with Joey Barton 2 (Carroll).

It is good to see Newcastle back in the prem, but Ashley wont do anything to keep them there. Most players would expect a pay rise for all the good work they have done in getting the team promoted and already Ashley is asking them to take a pay cut.
Hows that for a reward for all thier hard work.
Whats the bet Chris Houhton is out of a job and some top flight manager is installed so Ashley can try and sell the club again.

not convinced that the club will go on the market - Ashley has finally got the club working how he wants it and in Hughton has a manager that is getting results on a shoestring...

...that said never say never with NUFC
