this was one of the first marks my dad ever took me to years ago so we decided to have a few hours last night got the baits out and asked anothere lad fishing what the mark was called was told that it was the pilot jettie and rat house is a bit further up any way we were into fish from the off mainly whitling with the odd few small codling and flatties I got two slack liners the first one got right in to the side and could feel it thumping then everything whent heavy a carrier bag hit line and when I tried to lift it out the bag pulled a nice codling off the hook the second one I was on the phone to gf and missed it good night and just nice to be getting bites and not blankin

Well done mate, its been really hit and miss over the past few days with the current conditions. The Rathouse is always worth a shot it can produce good bags of whiteys etc. Also right of the end of the old north pier can be worth a go casting into the bay when the seas away, it can also produce some good cod especially this time of the year.

I seriously thought about going down to the rat today but my missus would have expolded.
Been fishing three times this week-and it is all day half night jobs. The thing which upsets her most is the smell of my gear smeared in old squid.
