Rat House

Had a walk along the Rat House this afternoon while our lass was shopping at Morrisons.

There were absolutely loads of decent size Whiting being caught. Saw one fella with at least 30 fish...they all looked 1lb +. Only seen one Cod, (same fella) for about 2lbs. Apparently they were getting Cod last night......or so someone said !!

The whole place from one end to the other looked like Sheilds Pier when the mackeral were in......it would spoil my day to fish somewhere as busy as that. Also quite few indiscriminate people who didn\'t look about before casting out.....how someone didn\'t get hurt is beyond me. Also annoyed at the size of some of the fish I saw people keeping....some never learn.

not much point keeping 30 @ 1lb,should only keep what you are going to eat,unless it was a comp i suppose !

2 weeks back on the pier i had atleast 30 whiting kept around 20 all size
kept 5 give 8 away 2 a woman round the cornor and gave the rest 2 a cat lover who takes ill cats in who normally pays out loads of money 4 fish i just give her a few a week 2 help her out
