Rathouse again

Fished rathouse this morning 8:30- 12. Pretty hard going but managed a flounder, tiny codling and a alright whiting on my last cast.

Saw a lad catch a codling on the corner.

Used bluey for bait. Never again - was like using damp tissue paper!

Bait elastic is really a must with bluey - it's much softer than mackerel but a lot more oily. Personally I prefer it, but again use elastic.

If you have a baiting needle cut off a fillet then push the needle through the centre of the fillet and wrap bait elastic around it tight then pull out the needle and cut the bait to sections and then put on the hook tie on with more elastic

Cheers for the tips guys. Thing I'll give it a go again with the elastic when it's warmer - I'm
Not very dexterous in this cold weather! Couldn't feel my fingers on Sunday.
