Just got back into sea fishing after 5 years absence, got new rod and reel, a Sonik and a Penn 525 Mag 2. Thought I would try the rat house at Sunderland so I didn't make a fool of myself casting after all them years.
Rod and reel perfect, thanks to the lads at Ryhope shop.
Only caught a few undersize cod and flatties and a dozen crabs, but enjoyed the day getting back into it.
Saw a huge mackerel caught though, about 3lbs I reckon, the lad who caught it said he was fishing on the bottom.
