went to fish roker pier today...guess what it was closed ...I did phone up before hand three times but no one answered the phone so I took a chance and lost...anyway I was there so I decided to fish the rat house from 10 till 3 caught 2 flatties and 5 whiteys and returned them all .... I caught all the fish on runnydown tipped with squid.....only the 2nd visit to the ratty and not impressed with all the sh.te layed about....there was a few fishing the seaward end of the ratty and I noticed the pilot boat have a good look at them after he had led a ship out to sea....the beach the other side of the tatty looks promising , I might try that sometime.. if I had known the pier was closed I would have been down h/pool

I'd take any exact location that's fished well with a pinch of salt.its a wonder every man and his dog wasn't there if it was posted on here

there's been a couple of decent fish in last 2 days from Middleton and the pilot pier upto 10 pound like the lad said
