Rathouse xmas day

Decided to fish last 3 hours of the flood on roker pier tonight but gates were locked so just went on the rathouse. Wasnt expecting much due to small tide and lots of fresh water in the river. Was much better than i anticipated ended up with 10 cracking whitings all really good size and 2 decent flounders, kept 5 whitings returned the rest. A very enjoyable session. All fish taken on frozen runnydown and macky.
