Hi guys
Think i got all i need to true lure fishing .I really want to target pollack and bass but really dont know where to go . I have read lots about the blocks on ssp but gets too crowded for me on there . was thinking trying the gap in the wall but not seen any info on lure fishing there . Or maybe Camel island ? even right hand side of marsden rock when tide out as can climb right round . Any advice or thoughts be great

Try some of the marks between shields and Marsden mate, last year in the lure challenge there was, Pollock, Coley, Codling, Flounder, Mackerel and Launce taken along there, you might pick up a bass along there as well and it wont be as crowded as the piers.

Good luck, we might bump into you down there

try and take the time to plan a trip at first light on shields pier during the week over high water it will be quieter at these times mate grab hold of a tide table and start looking around june july and august and even get a day or 2 off work and try lots of different lures mate hope this helps :)

Went to Roker yesterday morning at 5.30am for an hour before work, not a soul in sight, lovely.

Unfortunately a blank was on the cards, also blanked at Camels Island Tuesday morning and this morning!!!

The water is still fairly coloured and there wasn't any signs of feeding all week so far.

Fourth time lucky in the morning it is then.......might try SSP

This time last year, I'd had Pollack, Mackerel and Coalies by now. It's definitely a slow start due to the extended cold snap. The water Temp is about 4 to 5 degs below what it was this time last year also which isn't helping. I think we are still 4 weeks ish away from it picking up properly.

Disappointing start but need to keep plugging away, (pardon the pun) ;-)
