Record Pollack.South Sheilds pier

Had it on good authority from Tonybax today that a pollack was taken fron SS Pier yesterday, that stopped the scales at 24Lb.anyone confirm it?
By my reckoning thats a British shore record.

Is that right though H.A.B the reports should start coming through the morra. If so WOW. A one off though most certainly. Super rare off the boats round here as well i would imagine. That big fat cod was caught on mackky strip as well as far as I know. things like this are keeping me clinging on to sea angling, just.
