Red Summer Cod on the rocks

Went down to the rocks on this beautiful summer Saturday afternoon, and pulled four Red Cod in, the biggest about six pound, a couple of fours, and a one about Two.

Thanks for the comments lads.
Some of my best sessions have come off the rocks in summertime, yet you hardly ever see anyone fishing them. I love it when the sea is flat, the sun is shining, and the water is clear, and you're pulling in Cod, it goes against everything they say about catching Cod.
So don't be scared to have a chuck in the kelp, there's Cod in it.

Defo worth a chuck mate! My last two sessions I've had 3 sized codling... About 3.5 biggest. All that whilst targeting plaice! As you said, sun shines, shorts are out and the cod are coming in :D
