Of course, that's why people have rods rebuilt all the time. Not sure Stan will appreciate your valuable input considering it has name on the rod.

stan is a top rod builder second to none and a good friend of mine , just saying personally i would not touch a rebuilt rod
 
had a few good rebuilds over the years as regards rebuilt rods snapping my rods were sound anyway hope you get your sale / swap m8
 
So for instance if I took a used century ttr back to century for a rebuild when I got it back it would be prone to snap?

i would like to hope century would look at the the rod in question, if any deep marks or imperfections are discovered in the blank, it should not be rebuilt , buy new or at least know the history of the rod concerned safety is the most important factor
 
Rods are meant to be used, marks come with use, not sat and looked at like all these zzippy hippys do. Deep marks can be suspect yes but slight imperfections (scratches) to us normal folk, howay man, really ?
