Did anyone see rex hunt fishing off cliff tops today (sun 22nd sky tv)
instead of a drop net he used some sort of hooking gadget lowered down to bring his fish up. Anyone know where i can buy one or see a picture so i can make one.
cheers

Thanks for the replys. Read the pros n cons on the other threads.
In my opinion it comes down to 3 things: either use this to get your fish up and despatch it quickly, or run the risk of losing it and the fish being injured or killed on the way down, or as someone suggested, do not fish the cliffs at all, which for me is out of the question. Been fishing Marsden cliffs earlier have seen a couple of cracking fish lost on the lift was just looking for a successful way of getting them up.
cheers

Hear what your saying biff trying to get a happy medium between a fairly long cast and strenth on the lift. 20lb main extra long 50lb leader 40lb hook line.Even so puting your rod over the edge and have your line pulled through the eyes your risking breaking it in half.

ps Big fish!!!!! i must be dreaming :P
