Me and ZIPPIE fished a bit up towards the sea from the glass center on 2 up and 2 down last night. Both caught a coalie each on first cast.....yippie we thought.....4 hours later we had one sizeable flounder, one undersize codling and a maggot of a whiting between us. Baits used were fresh lug and frozen crab. Not a sporting night but at least we had bites and good crack.

thats what it is like allover the northeast coast this year apart from a couple of decent fish roll on next year

RATTY, We had spies out and tales of codling tempted us to the river. I put the one codling back that I managed to gaff on a size 6 hook.
