River wear 18/3/11

Fished down river from the town bridge from 11am - 3pm. I fished two rods and used runny down for bait. It started quite slowly with just one flounder before 12-30. Then it went ballistic with double shots of flounders, frantic sport till 2-30 when it stoped as quickly as it started. Not sure how many I had but I lost count at 25 and had about another 10 so must of had over 30 flounders, nothing big best around the 1 lb mark but great sport on light gear, but did have to use 3oz grips due the big tide. All in all a very enjoyable session, the best flatty bashing session I've had for a lot of years, may try again tomorow.

Well done Mick. We have been fishing the glass centre area a few times no. Its deep water with some canny sport of flatties, Coalies and the odd Codling.
